helpers

This past weekend... or is it... this last weekend.  Anyway.  This last past weekend, we were in Pendleton.  For some reason we stay in Pendleton less than 48 hours.  Maybe we fear that we will start wearing wranglers if we stay too long.
On Saturday, Travis attended his Uncle Wally's funeral, I got to hang with his Grandma Lorene and our kids kicked it with Grandpa Wood and Chris.

About an hour into my babysitting, I realized that I should have had Shirlene write a to do list, because I was starting to fall asleep on the job.  I eventually found some ants to track, they led me to the Ding Dongs on the fridge.  I love to babysit.

Karsten, Taegan and Langdon didn't find any Ding Dongs at Grandpa's but they quickly realized that Chris would let them go fishing in the pond that was stocked with 3 (probably very traumatized) Goldfish.

They eventually moved onto the horses and cows.  Aaahhh... life on the ghetto farm!

The past last few weeks I have been slowly working on the bathroom.  My Dad told me to take my time and not be in a hurry so it gets done right.  With these three bathroom attendants no one can be in a hurry to do much.

They are fun to hang with and I am glad no one has been injured yet!  The drains and supply lines have all been changed and re-routed.  Hopefully, I can find some time to pour concrete back in the holes and start on a shower pan.

Travis has been working on a project of his own.  He ordered all the stuff and made it all fit into a little black box.  It looked more difficult than re-wiring the bathroom.
GOOD BYE, TiVo!  you suck!
Hello, HTPC!!!

I don't get very excited about TV.  I can't even think of a TV show right now.  But I do know that there are no fees, no crap, no annoying software, no rate increases, no customer service.  If we want something changed,Travis finds a way to do it.  It is kid friendly, Karst' and Taeg' can use it.  It knew it was shark week and that everyone in this family would want to see all 74 shows of sharks eating crap.  Who knew that my 4 year old would like to watch a shark show.  All of our movies have been ripped to the hard drive so I will never have to pick up a DVD off the floor again.  It is neatly tucked into our entertainment center so nobody would even know it is there.  Best of all, Travis loves to tinker so that means I have to do NOTHING, but pour concrete in the bathroom!  yay me!

If you come back next week-end I promise to leave a to-do list. And how kid friendly can that remote control be when I can't figure it out. Those bathroom attendants are super-cool.

I think you'll find our media center is completely grandma friendly. Simply hand the remote to any passing bathroom attendant -- they'll find your trashy reality show for you in no time.

We like shark week at our house too! Way cool on your bathroom and your new electronic hook up. All the shows are on the computer then? I love seeing the "'ghetto farm". Leslie had pictures of "the POLE" on her blog not too long ago.
Summer is quickly coming to an end here! Crazy. Although I am so ready for the cooler weather!!!!
