Langy still bathes in the sink. I know everyone was wondering!
Travis had a fantastic idea to go to a volleyball game. It was buy one ticket and get the next game ticket free. The first game was the civil war. The Ducks dominated the Beavers and looked spectacular, even from the cheap seats.
A couple weeks later, we watched the Ducks play against Cal. The Bears from Berkley are rated among the top 5 in the country...and the Ducks have been struggling lately. It showed. We got beat quickly. We left happy, however, since I caught a T-shirt thrown by one the UO athletes during player intros. I would like to think it was because of my awesome super athletic ability, but it was probably just because our family of 5 were the sole occupants of Section 16 next to the home team's bench. The football team was playing in SoCal on national television (as well as our Tivo).
Karsten's school had a fun run to help raise some funds. He convinced his grandparents to sponsor him -- they agreed to pay an exorbitant sum for every lap the boy could complete in 60 minutes. Each lap is a 1/4 mile. Last year, the top Kindergartner ran 17 laps. Karst set his sights high; he told his sponsors that his goal was to run 20. He ran the first 1.25 miles...
...then it was a walk/run for the remaining laps. He got 13 laps (3.25 miles) in during the hour. Yay Karsten! Not bad for the offspring of two people that HATE to run.
Langdon has decided that he can pull himself up on anything, stable or not. His bruised noggin strongly suggests that he should exercise more caution in selecting obstacles that will support his 22 pounds before attempting the ascent. I generally put him in the walker now just to slow him down a bit for his own health. And, as you can see, he still loves pickles.
An elephant, a spider and the human torch showed up at our house for Halloween. Here they are in their creepiest poses.

Where in the world did you get the human torch costume? That looks like something Kai would love. As for the pickles, Kaden ate them at a YOUNG age and still loves them and anything else sour to this day. He's our adventurous eater.
Good job Karsten on the run! You did way better than I would. Cute costumes.
I like your sink!
